Improving Sodic and Saline Soils

High levels of sodium or soluble salts in soil seriously limit production of tree crops and vines. Research has proven that applying Hydra-Hume can help offset and remediate problems caused by sodic and saline soil biology.

In the slideshow, almond trees planted in saline soils were treated with Hydra-Hume at 1.5 gallons per acre through double-line drip. Following treatment, trees exhibited stronger vegetative growth, and a soil analysis revealed a reduction of soluble sodium by 36% and soluble chloride by 30%.
